In the final overs, Navin Stewart and Vinay Kumar hit two boundaries each to take Odisha past the 100-run mark and post 104/9 in 20 overs. In reply, Manipal Tigers had a poor start as their openers Robin Uthappa and Solomon Mire were dismissed without scoring a single run. The team’s score was reduced to 38/6 in the first 13 overs.

However, Daniel Christian and Obus Pienaar tried to put the team in a good position with a 49-run partnership, but Irfan Pathan defended 13 runs in the last over to give Odisha a thrilling two-run win.
